Native Edge Landscapes is an award-winning firm in Boulder, CO, dedicated to thoughtful design and exceptional craftsmanship. As a Landscape Construction Foreman , you will serve as a working lead responsible for the on-site execution of high-end residential masonry and landscape projects. About the Role In this role, you will plan for, manage, and work alongside a dedicated crew to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. While you report to the Install or Project Manager—who handles formal performance reviews—you are the primary on-site authority for task delegation and hands-on training. You will act as a mentor in the field, ensuring our commitment to stewardship and teamwork is met every day. During the winter months, you will transition into a critical support role for our Snow & Ice Management division. Primary Responsibilities Crew Direction
  • Lead and manage crew members in the installation of stone and paver patios, water features, plantings, and irrigation or lighting systems. Hands-on Training
  • Lead by example while training crew members in the safe and productive operation of all tools and equipment. Project Execution
  • Read, understand, and execute work orders and design plans to meet project budgets and quality standards. Safety Oversight
  • Ensure crew members use proper PPE for every task and strictly follow all company safety policies. Daily Coordination
  • Ensure assigned crew members are clocked in/out correctly and maintain a professional appearance. Site & Equipment Management
  • Maintain a safe, organized job site and ensure all assigned tools, vehicles and equipment are accounted for and properly maintained. Performance Feedback
  • Communicate observations and recommendations regarding crew member performance or disciplinary needs to the Supervisor in a timely manner. Field Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in softscape installation, including planting, grading, and basic irrigation. Equipment Mastery
  • Proficient and safe operation of landscape machinery, including skid loaders, compact utility loaders, and demo saws. Driving Credentials
  • Valid Colorado Driver's License with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
Lifting Capacity:
Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs safely on your own, and greater weights with the assistance of a team member.
Mobility:
Maintain a full range of motion in the upper and lower body; ability to safely bend, stoop, lift, pull, push, squat, and stand for long periods.
Manual Labor:
Proficiency in safely using basic hand tools, including shovels, picks, rakes, and wheelbarrows.
Endurance:
Ability to work shifts up to 10 hours in duration.
Environmental Exposure:
Comfort working outdoors in varying Colorado weather conditions, with temperatures ranging from 20°F to 100°F.
Flexible Dispatch:
Ability and willingness to work on Saturdays to make up for days lost to inclement weather. Legal Status
