For time tracking, sending emails, navigating phone apps and completing project reports, you must have intermediate level computer skills. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Essential Skills, Duties and Responsibilities Performs all duties assigned by supervisor or manager. Plan, organize, direct, and supervise daily underground crew activities including trenching, conduit installation, vault setting, cable installation, and restoration. Oversee installation of underground distribution systems including primary/secondary cable, conduits, handholes, transformers, and terminations. Ensure proper installation depths, clearances, and compaction requirements are met. Identify underground hazards such as:
Existing utilities Gas, fiber, electric conflicts Soil stability risks Documentation done timely. Accurate reporting and tracking followed through to completion. Includes reporting incidents, crew time, daily reports, unit tracking, submitting and coding receipts. Attend, prepare for and participate in meetings. Basic forecasting tools, software tools, production tracking, % completes, budget tracking, billing, change order management, and punch lists. Can read, understand and follow all contract documents. Ensure all work is completed according to contract documents. Sub-contractor management, identify changed conditions, dispute management, risk management. Work alongside, plan, direct, and supervise daily activities of your crew. Monitor and manage manpower, manhours, material, equipment, rentals and other job cost impact items. Monitor and manage project schedule. Adjust as necessary to meet deadlines. Inform leadership when falling behind schedule. Tooling and Equipment Management, you will assist with ensuring maintenance is up to date, employees trained to operate, kept organized, taken care of, kept clean and in working order, inspections are completed, taken out of service if damaged or broken. Maintains open communication with leadership. Responsible for quality control on your projects Understand and comply with Company Policies and Operating Procedures. Mentor apprentices to ensure they stay on track with books, hours and FPRs Essential Safety Requirements Adheres to and promotes Altitude's safety culture as a core value. Must arrive at your designated work area on time (early) and "Fit for Duty". Physically, mentally, and emotionally ready to work. JHA management, to include thoroughly completing, reviewing with crew, correcting deficiencies and modifying if tasks change. Ensure safe working conditions and good housekeeping on your sites. Ensure trainings are up to date for your crews. Identify and mitigate hazards. Facilitate incident management and reporting. Promotes and participates in Altitude's 'Monthly Safety Meetings'. Adheres to all applicable Altitude, Local, State and Federal safety standards and safety requirements. Wears all required protective and safety equipment while performing tasks that require it. Physical Requirements Must be able to climb, bend over, kneel, squat, crawl and reach overhead. Required to lift, push, pull, carry up to 50 pounds. Able to use two handed tools. Able to speak and hear information through oral communication. Has visual acuity to see items clearly and sharply. Must be able to work in tight or confined spaces. Other Requirements and Working Conditions Working conditions could include inclement weather This job requires you to report to your job site on time as directed. Excluding storm projects- work schedules/hours can be up to 12-hour days and up to 60-hours per week. Willing to work nights, weekends, out of town, overtime, outages, and storm calls as required.
