Job Description

A.P. Croll & Son Inc. is a fourth-generation family-owned construction company that has a legacy of quality, reliability, and innovation. We are seeking an experienced Pipe Foreman to lead underground utility crews on civil construction projects. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for production, crew performance, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. This position is best suited for a seasoned foreman who can run jobs, solve problems in the field, and hold crews accountable. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage pipe crews installing water, sewer, and storm systems Read and interpret plans, grades, and specifications to ensure accurate installation Set daily production goals and drive crews to meet or exceed expectations Coordinate with Superintendents and the General Manager to keep projects on schedule Oversee proper trenching, pipe installation, grading, and backfilling practices Ensure quality control on all work (line, grade, slope, alignment) Enforce OSHA and company safety standards at all times Identify field challenges early and take immediate corrective action Coordinate materials, equipment, and jobsite logistics Train, mentor, and hold crew members accountable for performance Maintain strong communication with leadership, inspectors, and other trades Education and Qualifications 5+ years experience in underground utility installation or civil construction Proven experience as a Pipe Foreman or lead crew member ready to step up Strong understanding of plans, grades, elevations, and pipe installation methods Ability to run a crew independently and keep work moving without constant oversight Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Commitment to safety and quality workmanship What We're Looking For A foreman who takes ownership of the job and gets work done Someone who can manage people, production, and problems all at once A leader who holds crews accountable without needing constant direction A professional who represents the company well in the field
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
$28-$40 an hour (negotiable based on experience and skill set)
Schedule:
Full‑time, 40 hours per week Competitive compensation with excellent benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Life Insurance Paid time off and Company holidays 401K matching Work locations will vary
