Job Description
JellyFish Lighting is an innovative outdoor-lighting company seeking a hands-on Installation Manager to help lead our South Florida installation operation. This is a working leadership position for someone who is comfortable leading installers while also performing installation work on homes. The right candidate will be skilled with ladders, planks, hand tools, and power tools. Experience working with aluminum soffit, fascia, gutters, or roofing is highly beneficial. We provide work throughout the year, including strong winter demand. You'll use your existing construction and leadership experience while learning new skills related to our permanent outdoor-lighting systems. Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside a team of installers.
- Install aluminum lighting track and permanent outdoor-lighting systems on homes.
- Plan daily crew assignments and ensure jobs are ready before leaving the office.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, planks, and other relevant equipment.
- Train and coach installers on safety, workmanship, efficiency, and professionalism.
- Maintain high standards for installation quality and property protection.
- Monitor job progress and address field conditions, delays, or installation concerns.
- Communicate professionally with customers and branch leadership.
- Keep jobsites organized, safe, and clean.
- Care for company vehicles, tools, equipment, and materials.
- Help recruit, onboard, and develop dependable installation team members. Qualifications
- At least five years of construction or related field experience.
- Previous experience leading employees or installation crews.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Comfortable working on roofs, ladders, and planks.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Comfortable performing physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Self-motivated, reliable, hardworking, and organized.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new installation methods.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to complete a background check. Preferred Experience The following experience is beneficial:
- Aluminum soffit and fascia
- Gutter installation
- Roofing
- Exterior construction or remodeling
- Low-voltage lighting or electrical work
