Job Description

Marine Construction Foreman Beach Marine is looking for an experienced and motivated Marine Construction Foreman to join our team full-time. Job entails manual labor work from start to completion. Includes running barges, hands on carpentry and running excavators. Our core work includes seawalls, docks, retaining walls, cofferdams, marinas, boat lift installations, sheet pile installation, and other marine construction projects. We are looking for a hands-on project leader who can take ownership of a job from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be capable of leading a 3-4 person crew, coordinating daily operations, understanding engineered plans, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company and engineering standards. Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a 3-4 person marine construction crew
  • Run projects from mobilization through completion
  • Operate barges and marine construction equipment
  • Operate excavators and other heavy equipment
  • Read and interpret construction plans and engineered drawings
  • Understand and communicate engineered requirements to the crew
  • Perform and oversee seawall, dock, retaining wall, cofferdam, and marine construction work
  • Perform carpentry and structural construction work
  • Coordinate materials, equipment, and daily jobsite activities
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite
  • Communicate effectively with company management, engineers, inspectors, and clients when needed
  • Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of marine construction experience
  • Proven experience leading construction crews
  • Must be experienced operating barges
  • Must be experienced operating excavators and heavy equipment
  • Ability to read and understand engineered construction plans
  • Ability to interpret and communicate engineering requirements to a crew
  • Strong carpentry skills
  • Strong understanding of marine construction methods and practices
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who knows marine construction and can take responsibility for getting a project done correctly.
This is a leadership position for someone who is confident operating equipment, managing a crew, reading plans, solving problems in the field, and keeping a project moving. This is not an entry-level position. Position Full-Time |
Marine Construction Foreman Pay:
$30.00 - $38.00 per hour
