We are looking for a motivated leader with strong concrete and masonry experience who can effectively lead field crews, maintain jobsite productivity, and take ownership of projects from setup through completion. The ideal candidate is not only a strong supervisor but is also willing and able to work alongside the crew when needed. This is a hands-on field position requiring leadership, construction knowledge, organization, and the ability to keep projects moving efficiently and professionally.
Responsibilities:
Supervise, coordinate, and work alongside field crews Plan and assign daily work to maintain productivity and project schedules Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, details, and layouts Perform and verify field measurements, layout, elevations, and grades Oversee concrete preparation, forming, reinforcement, placement, finishing, and related masonry work Coordinate concrete deliveries, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and manpower Monitor workmanship and ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and company quality standards Identify field issues early and communicate them promptly to project management Maintain a clean, organized, productive, and safe jobsite Communicate professionally with project managers, superintendents, inspectors, customers, subcontractors, and other trades Track daily progress, crew hours, materials, and jobsite conditions as required Train, direct, and hold crew members accountable for performance and quality Assist with hands-on field work as needed to keep projects moving Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
Requirements:
3-5+ years of commercial construction experience preferred Previous foreman, lead-man, or construction leadership experience preferred Strong hands-on concrete experience required Masonry/CMU experience strongly preferred Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications Experience with layout, forming, reinforcement, concrete placement, and finishing Strong understanding of jobsite safety and construction best practices Strong leadership and crew-management skills Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage changing jobsite conditions and priorities Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to perform physical construction work and work outdoors in varying Florida weather conditions Dependable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and team-oriented
