Lead Pipe Man - Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Lead Pipe Man to oversee pipe installation crews on water and sewer plant construction projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in underground utilities, and the ability to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise pipe crew in installation of water, sewer, and storm drainage systems Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and grade stakes Coordinate daily tasks with foreman, project manager, and equipment operators Ensure proper trenching, bedding, pipe laying, alignment, and backfilling Monitor crew productivity and maintain project schedules Enforce safety standards and ensure OSHA compliance Perform hands-on work alongside crew when needed Troubleshoot issues and maintain quality control on all installations

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in underground utility or heavy civil construction Proven experience as a Pipe Foreman, Lead Pipe Man, or similar role Strong knowledge of water, sewer, and storm systems installation Ability to read plans, shoot grade, and understand elevations Experience working with trench boxes, shoring, and dewatering systems Strong leadership and communication skills Valid driver's license
