Foreman As a Foreman at Thompson Thrift, you will provide day-to-day leadership and supervision for field teams performing construction, repair, maintenance, and installation work across multifamily construction projects. This role plays a critical part in coordinating jobsite activities, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining productivity, and supporting the successful execution of construction projects. Working closely with project leadership, you will help organize field operations, oversee skilled trades and labor crews, manage materials, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. You will coordinate work assignments, monitor quality and productivity, and ensure projects are completed according to plans, specifications, and company standards. This position requires strong construction knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage people, materials, and schedules in a fast-paced construction environment. You will serve as a key resource on the jobsite, helping maintain project momentum while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily activities of skilled and semi-skilled construction team members Plan, organize, schedule, and inspect construction, repair, and alteration work Review project drawings and blueprints to ensure work is completed according to specifications Evaluate repair and construction needs and assist with planning labor and material requirements Requisition and manage materials, supplies, and equipment needed for project execution Establish and enforce quality, safety, and performance standards for field crews Monitor workmanship and productivity to ensure project goals are achieved Layout and coordinate work activities based on plans and project requirements Track and report labor, material, and project-related costs Communicate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and leadership to support successful project delivery Promote a collaborative, safety-focused, and results-oriented jobsite culture Our Ideal Candidate for this Role Education High school diploma or GED required Equivalent combination of education and construction experience will be considered Experience Minimum of 5 years of construction industry experience Prior supervisory or crew leadership experience preferred Skills & Attributes Strong leadership and team management abilities Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints Knowledge of construction terminology, materials, methods, and best practices Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Experience using standard construction tools and equipment Ability to analyze jobsite productivity and coordinate resources effectively Why This Role Matters The Foreman serves as a vital leader in the field, helping ensure Thompson Thrift's construction projects are delivered with exceptional quality, efficiency, and craftsmanship.
