The Deck Foreman will oversee daily job site operations, coordinate materials and manpower, train crew members, and serve as the primary field leader while maintaining excellent customer relations. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise residential deck installation crews. Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications. Manage daily job site activities to ensure projects stay on schedule. Perform layout, framing, decking, railing, stairs, and finishing work. Ensure all work complies with local building codes and company standards. Conduct quality control inspections throughout each project. Coordinate deliveries, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. Maintain a safe and organized job site at all times. Train and mentor crew members in proper construction techniques and safety practices. Communicate project progress and any issues to management. Interact professionally with homeowners and answer job-related questions. Complete job documentation, punch lists, and project closeout procedures. Qualifications Required 3+ years of residential deck construction experience. 1+ year of crew leadership or foreman experience. Strong knowledge of wood and composite decking systems. Experience building stairs, railings, pergolas, and other outdoor structures. Ability to read construction plans and measurements accurately. Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
