The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong carpentry knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship and job site safety. The Deck Foreman will oversee daily operations on-site, coordinate crew activities, ensure projects stay on schedule, and maintain professional interactions with customers and management. Responsibilities Lead and supervise deck construction crews on active job sites Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and project plans Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards Coordinate daily tasks, materials, tools, and manpower Perform framing, decking, railing, stair, and finish carpentry work Monitor quality control throughout all phases of construction Train and mentor crew members to improve performance and productivity Communicate progress updates with project managers and customers Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites Troubleshoot construction issues and resolve problems quickly Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies Required Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in deck construction and crew leadership Strong knowledge of carpentry, framing, and exterior construction Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings Excellent leadership and communication skills Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment Preferred Qualifications Experience with composite decking systems and railing installations OSHA certification or strong understanding of job site safety practices Experience managing residential construction projects

$28.86 - $34.76 per hour
