Job Description
Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a Boilermaker Superintendent that will be responsible for leading all boiler, HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator), and related mechanical construction activities on large-scale power generation projects. This role provides field leadership for craft labor, subcontractors, and supervisors while ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. What You'll Do Lead and supervise boilermaker, pipefitter, ironworker, and subcontractor activities. Plan and coordinate daily construction operations, manpower, equipment, and materials. Oversee installation of HRSGs, boilers, ductwork, pressure parts, structural steel, and associated mechanical systems. Review drawings, specifications, and construction schedules to ensure work is executed correctly. Monitor productivity and project progress to meet schedule milestones. Coordinate with project management, engineering, quality, and commissioning teams. Ensure compliance with all company, client, and regulatory safety requirements. Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and field inspections. Identify and resolve field construction issues, conflicts, and work constraints. Review and approve craft timekeeping, progress reporting, and work plans. Support system turnover, punch list completion, and commissioning activities. What You'll Bring 10+ years of industrial construction experience with significant boiler, HRSG, or heavy mechanical construction experience. Previous experience as a Superintendent, General Foreman, or equivalent field leadership role. Experience on combined cycle, simple cycle, fossil, biomass, industrial, refinery, or other heavy industrial projects preferred. Strong understanding of rigging, steel erection, welding, pressure parts, and mechanical equipment installation. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficient with construction planning, scheduling, and reporting tools. Preferred Experience Combined Cycle Power Plants HRSG Construction Utility Power Generation EPC Projects Heavy Industrial Construction Refinery and Petrochemical Facilities Travel & Work Environment Full-time field assignment. Extended travel and relocation to project sites as required. Ability to work in an active construction environment and varying weather conditions.
