The Personnel Consulting Group is seeking a hands-on Underground Utilities Foreman to lead civil site work for a family owned and operated civil contractor that's been in business for well over a hundred years. In this role, you will manage daily field crews, maintain strict trench safety standards, and oversee the precise installation of water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems.
Key Responsibilities Crew Leadership:
Direct daily field operations for pipelayers, equipment operators, and laborers to hit schedule and production targets.
Utility Installation:
Supervise trenching, excavation, shoring, and installation of wet utilities (water, sewer, storm drain, manholes, catch basins).
Grade & Quality Control:
Set pipe grade and alignment using lasers, levels, and civil plans; oversee pipe pressure and mandala testing.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce OSHA trenching/excavation standards, confined space protocols, and lead daily toolbox talks.
Site Management:
Coordinate equipment usage, material staging, 811 utility locates, and maintain daily job logs.
Qualifications Experience:
3+ years as a Foreman overseeing underground wet utility construction.
Technical Skills:
Blueprint reading, laser/grade control, and excavation safety. Certifications (Preferred): OSHA 10/30, Competent Person (Trenching/Excavation), and Confined Space Entry.
Requirements:
Valid Driver's License with a clean record; ability to work outdoors in active construction environments.
