Description Position Summary:
The Electrical Foreman will participate and oversee the installation or maintenance and inspection of large electrical Projects, Systems and supervise team members including Sub-Contractors.
Role and Responsibilities:
Regular attendance at assigned location that may include office or other project sites
Act as a team leader in the execution of electrical work
Oversee and audit site safely and quality control programs
Oversee and coordinate any Sub-Contractors work that may be working under the Electrical Division
Coordinate field trade activities in accordance with the project schedule and help with developing the three weeks look ahead coordination schedules with all appropriate Project Team Participants
Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors
Ensure field installation compliance with all technical specifications, approved shop drawings & submittals
Coordinate equipment and specialty material deliveries and staging requirements
Supervise and participate in the installations of Power, Lighting, Fire Alarm, Security, Instrumentation and Controls, UPS, Generator and other related systems
Additional duties as directed by management
Qualifications Essential Skills & Characteristics:
Ability to work independently and lead a team of trade employees and apprentices
Follow plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers
Strict adherence to all co-workers and clients in an attentive courteous manner
At times may perform clerical/administrative duties
Participate in site housekeeping
Assist, and coordinate with scheduled shutdowns, support associated on-site operational requirements
Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, plans or specifications for work details or procedures
Good documentation and record keeping; attention to detail and quality
Educational & Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or relevant work experience
- 10 years of Field Experience, Journeyman, Working Leader
- Applicable State Trade License
- OSHA 10 certification
- Knowledge of Standard Operations Procedures (SOP's)
- Competency in Permit Required Confined Space
- Understanding and development of daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
