Job Description
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the daily operations of commercial flat roofing projects in Madison, WI and surrounding areas. Lead a team of roofing technicians, ensuring quality workmanship, safety compliance, and adherence to project schedules. Collaborate with project managers to plan and organize resources, materials, and equipment required for each project. Conduct site inspections and assessments to identify potential issues, develop solutions, and ensure work is performed to meet industry standards. Train, mentor, and motivate team members to maximize productivity and efficiency. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices. Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members to provide updates on project progress, address concerns, and maintain positive working relationships. Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and report any variations or potential risks to management. Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that work is completed to the highest standards.Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a foreman in commercial flat roofing. Extensive knowledge of flat roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Understanding of safety regulations and the ability to enforce them on the job site. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Physical ability to perform job duties such as lifting heavy materials and working at heights. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
