Job Description
Foreman Electrician - Commercial Electrical Contractor J.M. Lippa Electrical Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Foreman Electrician to join our team in Fallston, Maryland. We are looking for a dependable, experienced electrician who takes pride in quality work and is comfortable leading a crew while working alongside them in the field. Responsibilities Lead and work alongside electricians and apprentices on commercial electrical projects Plan and coordinate daily jobsite activities Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents Layout electrical installations and assign work to crew members Install and oversee installation of conduit, wiring, panels, lighting, controls, and other electrical systems Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades Monitor job progress, manpower, materials, and productivity Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the NEC, project specifications, and company standards Identify field issues and communicate changes or additional work promptly Maintain an organized, professional, and safe jobsite Train and provide direction to apprentices and less-experienced electricians Qualifications Minimum 3 years of commercial electrical experience required Current Journeyman Electrician license required Previous experience as a foreman or lead electrician preferred Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) Ability to read and work from electrical drawings and specifications Strong conduit bending, layout, troubleshooting, and installation skills Ability to effectively lead and communicate with a field crew Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Commitment to jobsite safety and quality workmanship Physical & Jobsite Requirements This is an active, hands-on field position. The essential functions of the job may include: Standing and walking for extended periods during the workday Climbing and working from ladders, lifts, and similar equipment Bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and working in a variety of positions Safely lifting, carrying, positioning, and handling tools, materials, and electrical equipment as required for the work Working indoors and outdoors and in varying weather and jobsite conditions Working at heights and in areas with uneven surfaces, construction activity, dust, and noise Safely using hand tools, power tools, and electrical installation equipment Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
