Lead Projects That Build Communities Enersite Utility & Site Services is a growing utility and site development contractor serving commercial, municipal, and infrastructure projects throughout New England. We specialize in underground utility installation, water and sewer systems, stormwater infrastructure, excavation, grading, and complete site development. We are seeking an experienced Sitework Foreman to lead field crews on underground utility and heavy civil construction projects. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating daily operations, managing crews, maintaining safety, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule while adapting to changing field conditions. What You'll Do:
Field Leadership Lead and supervise crews performing excavation, grading, underground utility installation, and site development. Plan daily work assignments and manage manpower, equipment, and materials. Ensure projects remain on schedule while maintaining quality and productivity. Train, mentor, and develop field personnel. Communicate daily with Project Managers, Superintendents, inspectors, subcontractors, and utility representatives. Project Management Read and interpret civil construction plans, grading plans, utility drawings, profiles, and specifications. Manage changing field conditions and adjust work plans while maintaining production and quality. Coordinate layouts, elevations, utility alignments, and grade requirements. Identify conflicts before they become project delays. Maintain daily production reports and project documentation. Underground Utility Construction Oversee installation of: Water mains Sanitary sewer systems Storm drainage systems Underground utility infrastructure Site grading and excavation Utility trenching and backfill operations Safety & Compliance Lead daily safety meetings and promote a safety-first culture. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards. Perform daily equipment and jobsite inspections. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Ensure all work is completed according to project specifications and safety requirements.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in sitework, excavation, underground utilities, or heavy civil construction. Previous experience leading crews as a Sitework Foreman, Utility Foreman, or Lead Operator. Strong ability to read and interpret civil construction plans, utility drawings, grading plans, and specifications. Extensive knowledge of underground water, sewer, stormwater, and utility installation. Ability to adapt to changing field conditions while keeping projects on schedule. Experience coordinating crews, equipment, subcontractors, and daily production. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Strong understanding of grading, elevations, utility layout, and excavation practices. Experience with water utility construction is strongly preferred. OSHA 30 Certification is preferred but not required. Maine Hydrology License is a plus but not required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift 75 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Willingness to work overtime as project schedules require. Why Enersite?
