Foreman JIR Contracting Sterling Heights, MI Job Details Full-time | Contract $20.04 - $70.18 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Relocation assistance Qualifications Electrical License Construction project management OSHA 30 Driver's License Supervising experience Journeyman Electrician Electrical building codes Construction team management Blueprint reading Full Job Description The Electrical Foreman is responsible for supervising field crews, coordinating daily operations, maintaining schedules, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to code and project specifications. The ideal candidate has experience leading crews on commercial, industrial, or data center projects and can effectively communicate with project managers, superintendents, inspectors, and other trades. Responsibilities Lead and supervise electrical crews on commercial and industrial projects Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and daily field activities Read and interpret: Blueprints One-lines Panel schedules Electrical specifications Install and oversee installation of: Conduit systems (EMT, PVC, Rigid) Panels and switchgear Lighting and controls Transformers and distribution equipment Feeders and branch circuitry Maintain production schedules and meet project deadlines Conduct daily jobsite planning and safety meetings Ensure all work complies with:
NEC OSHA NFPA
standards Coordinate inspections and work with AHJs Train and mentor apprentices and journeymen Communicate daily progress with project management Required Qualifications Journeyman Electrician License preferred 5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience 2+ years of foreman or crew leadership experience Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) Ability to manage crews and maintain productivity Experience running projects from rough-in through final completion Ability to read and understand electrical plans and specifications Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Preferred Experience Data Center / Mission Critical projects Industrial facilities and manufacturing plants Large-scale commercial construction Multi-family and mixed-use developments Generator and UPS systems Service upgrades and power distribution systems Fire alarm and low voltage rough-in/stub-up coordination Required Certifications OSHA 30 Required
