Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Supervisor / General Foreman to lead welding and mechanical field projects in industrial environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, coordinating crews, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining project schedules, and delivering high-quality workmanship. This position requires strong leadership skills, hands-on field experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and schematics Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate smooth workflow and timely delivery of materials Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify accuracy and guide construction efforts Manage project budgets by tracking costs, reviewing contracts, and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and MSHA standards and industry best practices Oversee safety protocols on-site, enforce OSHA and MSHA regulations, and conduct regular safety meetings to promote a safe working environment Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents to guide construction activities effectively Supervise team members' performance, provide mentorship, and foster a collaborative work environment Qualifications Extensive construction site experience with a solid understanding of heavy civil projects including pipelines or infrastructure projects Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead teams effectively in fast-paced environments Knowledge of contracts management, budgeting processes, and construction estimating techniques like HeavyBid Strong skills in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and use of tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting Familiarity with OSHA and MSHA safety standards and experience implementing safety protocols on-site Excellent project scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Effective communication skills for coordinating with clients, stakeholders, vendors, and team members
