Job Description
Job Overview The Working Foreman will report directly to the Superintendent and/or Project Manager and will play an integral role in the project team. This position will oversee daily construction activities while performing CDL driving and material/equipment transportation duties. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, construction experience, the ability to read plans and blueprints, and a valid CDL Class B with a safe driving record. Responsibilities include supervising crews and subcontractors, coordinating field operations, transporting materials and equipment, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: Duties Supervise daily construction activities on-site, managing crews and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow Coordinate construction schedules Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to guide team activities Monitor safety compliance by enforcing OSHA standards and federal construction safety regulations Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets specifications and industry standards Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, and progress reports using construction management software Oversee the review of construction drawings and technical documents for accuracy before execution Facilitate communication between project managers, clients, suppliers, and team members to maintain clear project objectives Ensure proper crew management through effective supervision, training, and performance evaluations Assist in budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation to optimize project profitability Conduct site inspections with tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary Maintain compliance with construction regulations and safety protocols throughout all phases of the project Qualifications CDL Class B Mandatory Project pre-planning. Valid and current driver license is mandatory. Comfortable working from heights and over water Ability to remain calm, focused and effective in pressure situations. Self-starter with ability to set goals and tasks with strong leadership skills. Background Check performed prior to employment Motor Vehicle Record checked biannually. Must be capable of working with intermediate level computer skills using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word Team player with field staff, project management and internal company management.
