This position is for an experienced professional who can organize people, maintain quality, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
Pay and schedule Starting pay:
$20-$25 per hour, based on verified skills and experience Full-time employee position Typical workdays are approximately 10 hours Saturdays are required Sundays may be required depending on project schedules Overtime is paid as required by applicable law Paid 30-day introductory evaluation period, with performance check-ins around days 7, 14, and 30 Employment is at will Responsibilities Lead and coordinate a hardscape installation crew Work alongside the crew on paver patios, walkways, driveways, retaining walls, grading, drainage, excavation, base preparation, cutting, compaction, and finishing Read plans, measurements, grades, elevations, and project specifications Assign daily tasks and maintain productivity, workmanship, and job-site cleanliness Operate and oversee the safe use of trucks, trailers, compactors, saws, skid steers, mini excavators, and related tools as qualified Track materials, equipment, labor progress, and project issues Communicate clearly with the owner, customers, subcontractors, and crew Enforce safety procedures and immediately report injuries, damage, delays, or quality concerns Inspect completed work and correct problems before leaving the site Qualifications Demonstrated hardscape, masonry, concrete, landscaping-construction, or site-work experience At least 1-2 years of crew-lead, foreman, or supervisory experience Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, base preparation, compaction, layout, and paver or retaining-wall installation Valid driver's license and a safe driving record Must be able to commute reliably to and from work and maintain dependable attendance Ability to perform demanding outdoor work, lift and carry heavy materials, and work in heat, cold, dust, and changing weather Ability to communicate in English; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus Must be legally authorized to work in the United States The introductory period is paid and is used to evaluate leadership, attendance, safety, productivity, communication, equipment care, and workmanship.
