Job Description The Framing Foreman will lead and supervise the framing crew on residential construction projects. This role requires hands-on experience with wood framing systems, strong crew leadership capabilities, and the ability to read and execute work from detailed blueprints. Responsibilities include coordinating daily job site activities, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and communicating effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and crew members. Candidates should have a proven track record in framing, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering projects safely, efficiently, and on time. Primary Responsibilities
- Perform skilled and structural carpentry work in residential framing of new homes, additions, porches, decks, dormers, second stories, and interior remodeling.
- Execute structural framing including wall framing, layout, rafters, stair stringers, and related carpentry tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and design drawings
- Install doors, windows, and related carpentry components
- Install finish grade roofline exterior trim on eaves and rakes
- Complete work efficiently while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail
- Work collaboratively with staff, Site Superintendents, Architects and Engineers
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Perform other related duties and projects as needed by your supervisor Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 7+ years of carpentry experience in residential framing
- 2+ year as a framing foreman with extensive framing knowledge and hands-on experience required
- Strong understanding of structural carpentry and layout
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism

The position involves frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and occasional lifting of materials or equipment weighing up to 80 pounds. The Lead Foreman must be able to work in varying weather conditions, maintain visual and situational awareness across the job site, and consistently use required personal protective equipment to ensure safety and productivity.
