Electrical Foreman

Job Title:

Electrical Foreman Job Description As an Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including bending, threading, and installing EMT, aluminum, and galvanized pipes ranging from ½" to 4". You will operate pulling machines, threading tools, and hydraulic benders. Your role will involve working with fire alarm schematics, data systems, and interpreting electrical drawings. You will install and troubleshoot electrical systems, including dimming systems, and work with condensing units, air handlers, and disconnect switches. A strong understanding of electrical panels, safety standards, and codes is essential. Responsibilities Bend, thread, and install EMT, aluminum, and galvanized pipes from ½" to 4". Operate pulling machines, threading tools, and hydraulic benders. Work with fire alarm schematics and install devices according to NYC FA Code. Perform data, Cat6, and RJ45 terminations. Read and interpret electrical drawings, including RCPs and elevations. Wire and install receptacles, lighting, and switching systems. Install and troubleshoot dimming systems and other electrical components. Manage and troubleshoot condensing units, air handlers, and disconnect switches. Ensure electrical safety and adhere to

training standards. Apply knowledge of NYC and National electrical codes and perform load calculations. Familiarity with AWG to MCM and perform conduit bending. Essential Skills Proficiency in electrical wiring and blueprint interpretation. Experience in pulling wire and conduit bending. Operational knowledge of pulling machines, threading tools, and hydraulic benders. Ability to perform 3-way and 4-way switching, and troubleshoot electrical faults. Knowledge of condensing units, air handlers, and condensate pumps. Familiarity with electrical panels, live parts, and safety standards. Knowledge of NYC and National electrical codes. Familiarity with AWG to at least #6. Additional Skills & Qualifications OSHA 30 certification. Site Safety Training (SST). Strong work ethic and commitment to quality work. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will be working with a large private commercial electrical contractor located in Carteret, NJ. The work environment includes high-end retail and large commercial projects with some of New York's largest general contractors. The start time is at 6:00 AM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carteret, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $37.00/hr.
