Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Electrical Foreman to lead and oversee electrical construction projects within the commercial sector. This role is pivotal in managing electrical crews, ensuring project safety, quality, and schedule adherence. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and construction management software. As a Foreman, you will coordinate activities on-site, supervise team members, and collaborate with project managers to deliver successful projects that meet all safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Lead and manage electrical crews on commercial construction sites, ensuring efficient workflow and safety compliance. Review and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to guide installation processes. Coordinate construction schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management tools to ensure timely project completion. Supervise the installation of electrical systems, including conduit runs, wiring, panels, and lighting fixtures in accordance with blueprints and schematics. Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce OSHA regulations along with federal construction safety standards to maintain a safe work environment. Manage procurement of materials using HeavyBid or other construction procurement software; monitor inventory levels and ensure quality control. Oversee subcontractor activities, review contracts, and ensure compliance with all construction regulations and project specifications. Perform quality inspections on work performed; troubleshoot issues with ohmmeters and other testing equipment; document progress through bluebeam or similar digital tools. Collaborate with project managers on project scheduling, budget tracking, and resource allocation to optimize productivity. Supervise team members' performance; provide coaching, training on safety practices, technical skills, and management expectations. Experience Proven experience as a Commercial Electrical Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within commercial construction projects. Extensive knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations (including OSHA), and industry best practices for construction safety management. Strong background in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings review. Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 or Primavera P6 alternatives for scheduling and documentation. Hands-on experience with construction site activities including conduit installation, wiring methods, panel setup, lighting systems, and testing procedures using ohmmeters. Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards for quality control. Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously with excellent communication skills for managerial coordination and crew supervision. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations along with local building codes applicable to commercial electrical work.
