Commercial and Industrial Electrical Foreman

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Electrical Foreman to lead and oversee electrical construction projects within commercial industrial and reaidential settings. This role is vital in ensuring that electrical installations, repairs, and upgrades are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. As a Foreman, you will coordinate teams of electricians, manage project timelines, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications. Your leadership will drive project success from inception to completion, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes safety, quality, and productivity. Hazardous location experience is a plus. Responsibilities Lead and supervise electrical crews on commercial construction sites, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction documents to guide installation activities. Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, monitor progress, and adjust plans as needed to meet project deadlines. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other safety regulations; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections. Manage procurement of materials and tools; verify quantities and quality of supplies such as conduit, wiring, panels, and fixtures. Collaborate with owner, project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project scope aligns with design intent; communicate progress updates effectively. Oversee quality control measures; perform inspections using tools like ohmmeters and ensure adherence to industry standards. Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 or HeavyBid for scheduling, tracking progress, budgeting, and documentation. Maintain accurate records of work performed, change orders, daily reports, safety incidents, and project logs. Supervise subcontractors when applicable; ensure all work meets contractual obligations and technical specifications. Qualifications Proven experience as a construction foreman or supervisor in commercial electrical projects with strong leadership skills. Extensive knowledge of electrical systems including schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters. Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards; ability to enforce safety protocols on site. Excellent communication skills for coordinating teams and liaising with clients or project stakeholders. Supervising experience in managing crews on projects involving complex electrical systems. Ability to read technical schematics and work with construction site teams to execute detailed plans accurately.
