Senior Construction Supervisor / Working Foreman

Zane Construction is seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Supervisor / Working Foreman to lead and actively manage multiple civil construction and sitework projects throughout New York State. This is a senior-level field leadership position ideal for someone with extensive experience in heavy civil construction, site development, earthwork, utility installation, grading, and overall project execution. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can successfully oversee crews, coordinate subcontractors, maintain production schedules, and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety in the field. Travel is required as projects are awarded and mobilized throughout the region. Responsibilities Lead and supervise multiple active construction projects from mobilization through completion Manage daily field operations, manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and production schedules Serve as the primary field leader responsible for jobsite execution and performance Perform and oversee sitework activities including grading, excavation, utility work, drainage, erosion control, stone placement, and overall site development Read and interpret blueprints, civil drawings, specifications, and project schedules Coordinate logistics, materials, and equipment across multiple projects and crews Maintain strong communication with project management, clients, subcontractors, and field personnel Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to company quality standards Identify and resolve field issues proactively to maintain production and profitability Track daily progress, quantities, production rates, and reporting requirements Utilize and oversee GPS machine control and layout technologies, including familiarity with Topcon GPS systems Enforce company safety standards and maintain organized, professional jobsites Qualifications Extensive experience in civil construction, heavy sitework, or related construction management roles Strong background in earthwork, grading, utilities, drainage, and large-scale site development Proven ability to lead crews and manage multiple jobsites simultaneously Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field operations Ability to read and interpret civil plans, blueprints, and specifications Familiarity with Topcon GPS systems, machine control, and construction layout technology preferred Experience operating within fast-paced construction environments with aggressive schedules Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make field decisions confidently Willingness to travel throughout New York State as projects require Compensation & Benefits Full-time position Competitive salary: $135,000 - $175,000 per year, based on experience Discretionary performance-based bonus structure evaluated quarterly and annually Opportunity for advancement within a growing construction company Long-term opportunity with consistent project pipeline Work Location In-person Travel throughout New York State required If you are an experienced construction professional looking for a leadership role with a growing company focused on high-level sitework and civil construction projects, we encourage you to apply.
