Job Description

Duties and responsibilities for the Construction Foreman include, but not limited to Lead Crew in performing duties assigned by Superintendent/Project Manager; monitor performance of crew and make corrective measures when needed to achieve production goals; understanding and navigation of drawings; set forms (bulkheads, wall forms, columns, piers, structural decks, and scaffolding system; understanding of plumb, level and straight; take care of tools; operate equipment/tools (skid steer, telehandler, saws, impacts, drills, etc.); elevation control (laser, builder's level); layout knowledge; knowledge of hand tools; share knowledge with crew in each respective area to continue development of team.
Baseline qualifications:
education and/or experience includes knowledge of construction build sequence of the work; valid driver's license or State ID; reliable transportation; three (3) years related experience or training; equipment certifications; 30 hours OSHA certification (Humble will train if necessary).
Physical Demands:
properly lift objects up to 50 pounds; push and pull heavy objects; work in strenuous conditions with minimal breaks; ability to work at various heights; work with multiple types of tools. Work Environment; work involves exposure to outside weather conditions and concrete, dirt, dust, fumes, and/or loud noise levels; be aware of surrounding operations.
Interpersonal skills:
ability to effectively present information to your Superintendent or Project Manager. be a coach to your crew.
Availability/Dependability:
able to work 5 to 6 days a week; expect early start times and long days (times will vary from job to job); be on time daily. Ensure a
Safe Work Environment:
safety at all times (hard hat, safety glasses, steel toed boots, when required); sets example by following safety guidelines including but not limited to wearing PPE on jobs; attends and participates in Toolbox Talks and provides input for Safety Tasks analysis; complies with safety procedures.
