Job Description
The Planet Group is partnering with our client to find a Construction Foreman with hydrovac operation and supervisory experience.
Compensation range:
$25 - $30 per hour, with some flexibility depending on experience. Core Responsibilities- Supports the construction, maintenance, and repair of pipeline infrastructure.
- Excavation, pipe handling, and site preparation work, to ensure the efficient and safe operation of pipeline projects
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipeline systems, including the assembly and disassembly of pipelines.
- Perform manual excavation and trenching work using hand tools and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Load, unload, and position pipes and related materials using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Clear and prepare construction sites by removing debris, vegetation, and other obstacles.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety meetings and training sessions.
- Provide leadership and support to skilled workers, such as welders and pipefitters, by holding materials, tools, and other equipment.
- Inspecting pipeline systems for leaks, damage, or other issues, and report findings to the supervisor.
General Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4+ yrs Heavy equipment operation
- 4+ yrs Supervisory experience
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, including the proficient and safe use of hand tools.
- Detail oriented
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment, as well as random, drug screens, background check and motor vehicle records check.
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments, potentially in remote locations and under varying weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications Include:
- Previous landfill gas systems construction experience.
- Current OSHA 40 Hr.
HAZWOPER.
- HDPE pipe fusion certificate
- Knowledge of basic math, gas chemistry, piping and instrumentation drawings.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) frequently.
- Perform repetitive motions, including bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Work in confined spaces and at heights, as required by the job.
- Primarily outdoor work in varied weather conditions.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and hazardous materials commonly found in construction sites
