We're hiring a Construction Foreman in Jacksonville, FL , and we're looking for someone who's ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. This position is fully remote. The Construction Foreman supervises and coordinates carpenters and laborers. Duties include interpreting blueprints, planning tasks, overseeing framework, fixture, and drywall installation, performing basic electrical, plumbing, and concrete work, ensuring quality and safety, training the crew, communicating progress to project managers, and maintaining a clean site. Primary Responsibilities Lead, supervise, and coordinate a crew of carpenters and laborers on active job sites Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications; communicate scope clearly to crew members Plan daily tasks, assign work, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope Construct and oversee the building of frameworks such as walls, floors, and door/window frames Oversee installation of structures and fixtures (doors, cabinets, drywall, trim, etc.) Direct and assist with drywall installation, finishing, and repairs Coordinate and perform basic electrical, plumbing, and concrete work as needed Ensure quality control by inspecting work for accuracy, safety, and craftsmanship standards Train, mentor, and develop crew members to improve skill levels and productivity Enforce safety regulations and ensure proper use of equipment, including lifts and machinery Communicate regularly with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure alignment Track progress, materials, and labor needs; report updates to management Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient job site Why EquipmentShare? We're looking for people who: See challenges as opportunities Embrace change and continuous improvement Bring energy, effort, and optimism every day Skills & Qualifications Proven experience as a carpenter with leadership or foreman experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and construction methods Demonstrated ability to lead crews, delegate tasks, and manage job site workflow Working knowledge of drywall installation and finishing Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems Experience with concrete work (forming, pouring, finishing) is a plus Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments Excellent communication and team coordination skills Proficiency with carpentry tools, equipment, and construction machinery Solid math and measurement skills Physical stamina and ability to perform demanding tasks when needed Trained and experienced in safely operating scissor lifts, boom lifts, and skid steers
Education and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent At least 5 years experience Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent field experience Trade school or vocational training (preferred) Prior experience in a supervisory or foreman role is highly desirable
Physical Requirements:
Up to 90% travel that will include overnight and weekend travel Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time May be required to drive for long periods of time Must be able to reach overhead, kneel, stoop, bend, stand and walk Construction sites (indoor and outdoor) Exposure to varying weather conditions May involve heights, heavy lifting, and loud equipment Full-time, often with early mornings or extended hours Work may involve heights, heavy lifting, and loud equipment A Workplace For All At EquipmentShare, we believe the best solutions come from a team that reflects the world around us.
