Located in Lancaster, SC, LCI-Lineberger Construction Inc. provides a wide range of services from building highways to commercial site preparation, erosion control, reclamation, grading and paving and utility installation for public and private clients alike. The company also operates a trucking division with a fleet of 25 dump trucks providing services to LCI jobs as well as to other customers. JOB SUMMARY
The basic function of the Construction Foreman is to provide the necessary planning, organization, and coordination to ensure that their assigned projects is completed to required specifications, in a safe manner, within budget and on time. Works in a manner to achieve the company goal;

Description of Tasks:
The following is an abbreviated list of tasks: Safety is top priority. Follow, implement and enforce safety policies,(i.e., job safety meetings, proper use of safety equipment, compliance by subs/suppliers, etc.) Strives for harmony and teamwork both internal and inter-departmental Assembles crew members for morning & evening meetings to discuss the schedule and tasks for that day and plan for the next day Have a working knowledge of each crew member's skill level , ability to learn and receive information Works with Quality Control department to ensures that jobs are installed per specifications Performs work in efficient manner, using schedules, effective decision making skills Help coordinate jobs with any subcontractors as needed Complete all paperwork thoroughly and accurately Ensures that all equipment is checked and serviced per equipment policies prior to using it on a job site Coordinates with the General Superintendent or Operations Manager to ensure that all material, man power and equipment are at assigned job sites when required and in the proper quantity Assists in training, motivating, counseling and monitoring the performance of field staff including written evaluations Attends and participates in all company or departmental meetings Recognizes potential safety risks on job site and rectifies risks per company policy Maintains updated technical knowledge on company equipment Work safely, wear applicable PPE and notify supervisor of any potentially unsafe situations Maintain a neat and orderly work area Remain productive for the entire work day Maintain personal appearance in accordance with company policy Show a willingness to learn job site goals and company-wide goals Perform any other special projects as needed
Formal Education :
None required, High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Skills Required :
Ability to participate in and supervise workers operating light, heavy, and special motor equipment Ability to supervise construction projects from general plans and instructions given Ability to determine the proper amounts of various materials, tools, and equipment needed Ability to make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment operated Ability to read engineering plans and blueprints Ability to communicate effectively verbally with supervisor and subordinates Maintains a cooperative working relationship with customers and other employees Has the ability to tactfully handle difficult personnel situations Ability to listen and follow instructions as given Consistently arrives for work at the scheduled time Follow proper procedure for absences from work Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license prior to employment Job Performance /
Experience Required:
5 years' experience in civil construction; field supervision experience preferred
