Construction Foreman Operator Job Description The Construction Foreman Operator is a dynamic role that combines supervisory responsibilities with hands-on operation of heavy equipment. This position is crucial in ensuring that construction projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project specifications. The Foreman Operator plays a dual role by leading construction crews and directly contributing through the operation of machinery. Responsibilities Supervise construction crews to ensure safety and compliance with project specifications. Operate heavy equipment, including dozers, excavators, and graders, to contribute to project completion. Resolve on-site issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain project efficiency. Work flexible hours, including the possibility of overtime and weekends, to meet project deadlines. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment operation. At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within construction. Proficiency in fine grading and familiarity with GPS technology. Additional Skills & Qualifications OSHA 10 certification is preferred but not required. Experience with traffic control and general labor in construction settings. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work hours are from 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
