Job Description

Job Title:
Electrical Foreman Job Description This role involves overseeing electrical projects across various sites within the CHS area, including the SGR-1 Data Center, Boeing expansion, and MUSC downtown. Candidates should be willing to travel to all these locations and are open to those outside the CHS area, with per diem provided. Responsibilities Assist supervisors with ordering materials, managing schedules, and coordinating job site activities. Prepare and maintain required documentation, including Jobsite Safety Analysis, Jobsite Hazard Analysis, and safety reports. Interpret and track project schedules, providing two-week look-ahead plans and forecasting manpower needs. Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to plan work procedures and determine construction requirements. Formally request and manage materials, tools, and supplies. Train and mentor workers on construction methods, equipment operation, safety procedures, and company policies. Monitor crew performance, anticipate production challenges, and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and morale. Measure, mark, and verify layout locations for structures and equipment. Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant job site at all times. Manage daily process for equipment inspections and end-of-day reporting to ensure compliance, accuracy, and operational continuity. Essential Skills Experience with excavators, underground utilities, conduit, blueprint reading, utility construction, loaders, and electrical work. At least 5 years of industry experience recommended. Minimum 1 year of underground electrical construction experience required. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bilingual communication skills (Spanish/English) a plus. Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid Driver's License required. High school diploma or GED required (technical or community college preferred). Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Ability to work 40+ hours per week and overtime as required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work overhead, stand for extended periods, and climb stairs/ladders. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment requires wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hard hats, gloves, and a hi-vis vest. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5:30 pm, with a minimum of 35 hours guaranteed per week, regardless of weather conditions. On average, the team works 55 hours per week, so candidates must be comfortable with overtime. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
