Full-Time, Non-Exempt Position Summary Southern MEP is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead electrical field operations, supervise craft personnel, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to plan. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical knowledge, proven leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship while fostering Southern MEP's culture of teamwork, integrity, and excellence. This position requires the ability to manage field crews, coordinate construction activities, communicate effectively with project stakeholders, and maintain compliance with all safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage electrical crews of 4-10 technicians and electricians. Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily electrical installation activities. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment. Interpret electrical drawings, specifications, control diagrams, and construction documents. Install electrical wiring, fixtures, devices, conduits, and equipment in accordance with applicable codes and project requirements. Wire and troubleshoot DDC and PLC control systems. Install and bend conduit as required for project installations. Monitor project schedules and coordinate work activities with General Contractors, Project Managers, and other trades. Conduct job site meetings and communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions professionally. Ensure projects meet quality standards, customer expectations, and schedule requirements. Maintain a safe work environment and enforce all company and OSHA safety regulations. Train, mentor, and develop field personnel to promote continuous improvement and leadership growth. Manage materials, equipment, and labor resources effectively to maximize productivity. Complete required documentation, reports, and project records accurately and timely. Assist with project planning and problem-solving to ensure successful project execution. Required Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED required. Electrical trade school, apprenticeship training, or equivalent field experience preferred. Experience Minimum of 6 years experience as an Electrical Foreman. Strong background in commercial, industrial, or institutional electrical construction. Experience coordinating and leading multiple projects and field personnel. Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of electrical systems, controls, and construction practices. Knowledge of line voltage circuitry. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and control schematics. Experience wiring DDC and PLC controllers. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership and team-building capabilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
