Hour Construction Full Job Description Electrical Foreman Position:
Chroma Energy Group is high-growth Renewable Energy company headquartered in Knoxville, TN. Chroma provides solar engineering, procurement, and construction services across the United States. We work in an innovative industry and our company has a fast-paced, entrepreneurial feel to it. We are looking for an electrical foreman who will perform a variety of tasks. The electrical foreman will assist in the construction, maintenance and repair of solar PV systems. The electrical foreman will safely lead daily activities in the supervision and planning of electrical work. The Electrical Foreman position is primarily a supervisory role and it will also require stepping in and getting the job done at times. There will be travel required with this job. Our projects are throughout the South East.
Responsibilities:
  • Understand and work in accordance with the overall project schedule and budget
  • Direct electrical crews, manage and maintain production and productivity standards
  • Accurately record and provide daily reports of progress updates and crew hours
  • Read and understand blueprints and electrical drawings
  • Lead the installation of conduits & raceways both above and below grade
  • Performing and supervising
AC, DC, & LV
installation, including terminations
  • Analyze production results. Ensure ongoing efforts are made to improve productivity
  • Provide on-the-job training to lower-level foremen and apprentices
  • Ensure quality of workmanship meets or exceeds industry standards
  • Ensure safety compliance and provide technical oversight & guidance to electrical laborers
  • Install inverters and batteries and make sure the system is properly grounded
  • Understand and implement National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements for installations
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of commercial electrical experience
  • Electrical license(s) preferred
  • Reliable transportation & valid driver's license
  • Equipment operation experience is a plus (excavator, track loader/skid steer, forklift)
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred, OSHA 10 required
  • Fortitude to handle the elements, the ability to work outdoors all day in all seasons, lift >50lbs, bend, crawl, climb, and kneel
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, organization and planning, prioritization and follow up-skills
  • An understanding of electrical systems and code-compliant installation methods
