Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Commercial Electrical Foreman to lead electrical crews on commercial construction projects. In this leadership role, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable standards. As the on-site electrical leader, you will manage journeymen electricians, apprentices, and helpers, coordinate with general contractors and other trades, and maintain high standards of quality and productivity. Key Responsibilities Lead, supervise, and mentor a crew of 5-15 electricians and apprentices on commercial job sites Plan, layout, and coordinate daily electrical work including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low-voltage systems, generators, and specialty equipment Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and electrical drawings to assign tasks accurately Ensure all electrical installations comply with NEC, local building codes, OSHA safety regulations, and project specifications Enforce company and site safety policies; conduct daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and job hazard analyses Track project progress, material usage, and labor hours; provide accurate daily reports and forecasts to project management Coordinate with general contractors, other trades, inspectors, and suppliers to maintain schedule and resolve conflicts Troubleshoot electrical systems, perform start-up and commissioning, and resolve issues efficiently Manage material ordering, deliveries, and inventory to minimize downtime and waste Maintain quality control through regular inspections and as-built documentation Mentor and train apprentices and journeymen to develop their skills Assist with labor and material estimates for upcoming phases or change orders Required Qualifications Minimum 5-7+ years of hands-on experience as a Journeyman Electrician in commercial construction 2-4+ years of proven experience working as an Electrical Foreman or Lead Electrician Valid Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician License (or the ability to obtain one) Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and commercial electrical systems Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, one-line diagrams, and specifications OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain) First Aid/CPR certification preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites in the [your area] region Preferred Skills & Attributes Experience with large commercial projects (offices, retail, schools, hospitals, data centers, or multi-family) Familiarity with fire alarm, security, data/communications, and energy management systems Proficiency with tools such as pipe benders, threaders, and cable pullers Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude, professionalism, and a strong commitment to safety and quality Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and stand/walk for extended periods Comfortable working in various weather conditions and confined spaces What We Offer Competitive hourly pay + overtime Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for career growth and advancement Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (depending on role)
