This position oversees self-performed labor, coordinates subcontractors and vendors, enforces safety standards, monitors quality control, and ensures projects remain on schedule and within budget. The Foreman works closely with the Superintendent and company leadership to successfully execute projects from start to finish. Qualifications Required Minimum of 5 years of construction experience Valid REAL ID driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Preferred Minimum of 2 years of Foreman or supervisory experience Experience in one or more of the following: Demolition Underground utilities Concrete construction Clearing and grubbing Pool installation Heavy equipment operation Key Responsibilities Project Supervision Supervise and direct all field personnel on assigned projects Coordinate daily activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements Manage self-performed labor and oversee subcontractor activities Maintain productivity while meeting project schedules and deadlines Planning & Coordination Review project plans, blueprints, specifications, and related documents Coordinate directly with the Project Manager and Owner through daily and weekly meetings Assist with work activities, equipment, deliveries, and subcontractors Assist with project planning to ensure work is completed on time and within budget Safety & Quality Control Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations Conduct safety meetings and job hazard assessments Ensure all work meets project specifications, building codes, and quality standards Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate project records, material inventories, and field documentation Track project milestones and communicate updates to management Document and report field issues, delays, and change orders as necessary Problem Solving Resolve field conflicts and construction challenges efficiently Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders Identify potential issues before they impact schedule, budget, or quality Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical construction activities Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to safely operate construction equipment and tools when required Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for advancement Training and professional development Company-provided safety equipment Additional benefits available based on employment status Shovel Kings is seeking motivated leaders who take pride in quality workmanship, safety, and delivering successful projects.
