Job Description
CoolSys is seeking a Construction Refrigeration Foreman to lead field crews on commercial and industrial refrigeration construction projects. In this on-site role, you will oversee installation, start-up, and commissioning of HVACR and refrigeration systems, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery. You'll interpret blueprints, coordinate materials, and mentor technicians while troubleshooting complex systems. At CoolSys, you'll work with advanced, energy-efficient technology in a supportive, growth-focused culture, partnering closely with project managers and customers to deliver reliable, sustainable solutions. Responsibilities Lead installation and start-up of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems on construction projects. Supervise and mentor field crews, ensuring quality workmanship, productivity, and adherence to schedules. Interpret blueprints and specs to plan layout, material needs, and daily work assignments. Perform advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and commissioning of refrigeration and HVACR equipment. Enforce jobsite safety, OSHA standards, and Cool Sys policies at all times. Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and clients to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction. Document work performed, materials used, and system performance for turnover and closeout. Support training and development of junior technicians and ensure best practices are followed.
