Working closely with the Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent, this hands-on leadership role coordinates daily site activities, oversees SRM field crews, supports subcontractors, and helps ensure construction progresses safely, efficiently, and according to plan. The Foreman leads by example, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork while actively contributing to construction activities as needed. Job Duties & Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the daily activities of Laborers Promote and enforce job site safety standards, including PPE, barricades, fall protection, traffic control, and other safety requirements Monitor site activities to ensure safe work practices are consistently followed Coordinate subcontractor needs and help maintain efficient project workflow Maintain site security by monitoring fencing, gates, access points, and security systems Coordinate material and equipment deliveries to support the construction schedule Verify equipment operators have appropriate certifications and training Ensure approved Traffic Control Plans are properly implemented and maintained Monitor daily construction activities and identify potential issues before they impact the project Review construction plans and details to support quality installation and project execution Assist in resolving field questions from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers while escalating significant issues to the Superintendent Perform hands-on carpentry and construction work as needed Maintain clean, organized, and efficient job site operations Support project quality by identifying deficiencies and ensuring work meets company standards Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent 5+ years of commercial or multifamily construction experience Previous experience leading field crews or serving as a Foreman Strong knowledge of construction safety requirements and OSHA standards Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications Experience coordinating subcontractors and construction logistics Knowledge of traffic control requirements and material delivery coordination Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced construction environment Dependable, organized, and safety-focused Ability to work collaboratively with Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams Preferred Skills & Experience Experience with occupied multifamily construction projects Forklift and aerial lift certifications Traffic Control certification Experience with site logistics planning Strong carpentry and framing background
Physical Requirements:
This is a field-based role on active construction sites. The position requires frequent walking, standing, climbing, kneeling, bending, lifting up to 50lbs., working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and performing physical construction work as needed.
Travel:
Regular travel to project sites within the region. The base salary for this position in the Greater Seattle area is $85,000 - $105,000. This position is also eligible for SRM Construction's performance based bonus program.
