Responsibilities As an Aerial Foreman on our Midwest Travel crew, you'll support various projects through all phases of telecom construction. You take pride in doing the job right and leading from the front. What you'll do: Install and repair aerial fiber cable while maintaining safety and quality standards Train and support crew; work alongside them to ensure they have the tools/resources to work safely and efficiently Place, relocate, and remove poles, lines, and wire to maintain system performance Set up and maintain safe work zones (cones, signage, barriers) Review project plans and ensure builds meet design specs Lead and direct daily job site activities Complete required documentation and track crew time Communicate with the Area Supervisor/Manager Oversee crew schedules, material deliveries, and daily productivity
Qualifications About You :
Safety is part of your day-to-day, with a strong understanding of OSHA requirements and safe telecom construction practices You have 4+ years of telecommunications construction experience and at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role You have a well-rounded understanding of fiber, aerial, and underground construction. You have strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills and enjoy working alongside your team to get the job done You take pride in high-quality work, have strong problem-solving skills, and thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environment You can read and understand work orders, blueprints, and construction prints You are comfortable working in bucket trucks and climbing with gaffs up to 40+ feet You can lift up to 70 lbs., and work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including evenings and weekends/on-call as needed You have a valid driver's license, with a clean record the past 3 years You have a current CDL or are willing and able to obtain one within 90 days of starting You're looking for long-term work, enjoy getting your hands dirty, and take pride in being part of a successful team Open to travel 50% of the year for up to 10 days at the time, throughout MN and WI, M-F per diem (50+ hours per week, depending on the weather), and working overtime consistently MOS Codes 2847, B05A, 3D157, 002599, 5699, 12P, 12Q , 12H, 3E251, 3E271 relate well to this position. Compensation of $29-$35 per hour, based on licenses and the experience. Hard work pays off.
