Job Description:

Job Summary This is a Union Position General laborer duties associated with road construction work. Main Responsibilities Cleaning and preparing the construction site and pavement surfaces. Keep equipment and tools in good working condition. Work in a team-oriented environment. Carry out duties as assigned to assist the crew. Should understand specifications and instructions, both verbal and written. Knowledge of and strict adherence to safety regulations. Wear all appropriate personal protective equipment! Travel within Southeast Alaska communities! Must be available work overtime including Saturdays and Sundays. Typical weekly work hours can meet or exceed 60 hours. Skills MSHA Certification. OSHA 10 hr Certification. CPR/First Aid Certification desired. Physical Requirements Shall be capable of passing drug screening and a PAT (physical abilities's test). Exert force of 20-50 pounds occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, or 10 pounds constantly. Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain.
