Construction Laborer Job Description This role involves supporting a commercial construction site by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area. You will perform general labor tasks such as sweeping, debris removal, and assisting with basic construction activities as needed. Responsibilities Clean and maintain the construction site by sweeping, picking up debris, and organizing materials to ensure a safe and orderly work environment. Assist with general construction labor tasks, including moving materials, loading and unloading supplies, and supporting other trades as directed. Support framing and other basic construction activities under the guidance of experienced team members. Follow all safety procedures and site rules to maintain a secure work area for yourself and others. Use hand tools and basic equipment safely and correctly as required for daily tasks. Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to complete assignments efficiently and on schedule. Adapt to changing priorities on the job site and assist where needed to keep work progressing. Essential Skills At least 1 year of commercial construction experience. Experience performing general labor tasks on construction sites, including site cleanup and material handling. Familiarity with basic construction practices such as framing and general labor support. Valid driver's license. Ability to meet standard pre-employment screening requirements. Ability to work safely in active construction environments, both indoors and outdoors. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry materials for extended periods. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience working on large commercial or industrial projects is beneficial. Comfort using basic hand tools and construction equipment. Strong work ethic and reliability, with a willingness to work extended hours when needed. Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based on a commercial construction site at a data center, with a mix of indoor and outdoor work. You will work primarily Monday through Saturday from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some Saturdays required and a typical schedule of around 58 hours per week. The role requires comfort working in varying weather conditions, including heat, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift while adhering to all site safety standards and guidelines. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Queen Creek, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
