In this role, you'll operate heavy machinery, including skid steers (commonly known as Bobcats), excavators, loaders, and backhoes, to perform excavation, grading, utility work, and site preparation. Duties Operate Bobcat skid steers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks to perform excavation, grading, utility installation, and site clearing tasks Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance Assist with construction utility work by locating underground utilities using specialized equipment and following safety protocols Perform construction site preparation activities including land clearing, trenching, and grading in accordance with project specifications Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all team members Support heavy equipment operation by coordinating with team members to execute tasks efficiently and accurately Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety inspections Experience Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as Bobcats, excavators, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks in a construction setting Knowledge of construction machinery maintenance routines and troubleshooting techniques Familiarity with construction utility work including utility locating and excavation procedures Strong understanding of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures Prior experience in construction grading, site preparation, or utility installation projects preferred Valid driver's license (CDL) ability to drive company truck and able to pull machinery Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance is highly desirable Join us in building safer communities through skilled craftsmanship!
