Carpenter Job Description This role focuses on the construction, repair, and refurbishment of mobile office trailers. You will assist with structural repairs, basic electrical and plumbing tasks, interior finishing, and the installation of furniture and equipment. The position suits someone with hands-on construction or handyman experience who enjoys working outdoors in a fast-paced environment and can complete tasks independently while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Responsibilities Assist in the construction, repair, and refurbishment of mobile office trailers, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. Perform light plumbing tasks, including installation, adjustment, and basic repair of fixtures and connections within trailers. Carry out basic electrical work such as installing electrical components, fixtures, and outlets under established guidelines. Complete drywall work, including hanging, patching, taping, and finishing interior walls as needed. Perform carpentry tasks, including framing, trim work, and repairs to doors, windows, and other structural components. Install, assemble, and secure furniture and equipment inside mobile office trailers according to layout requirements. Conduct basic patching and painting to repair interior and exterior surfaces and maintain a clean, professional appearance. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices such as tape measures accurately to complete construction and maintenance tasks. Support home-remodel-style work on trailers, including interior upgrades, repairs, and general handyman tasks. Perform facility and property maintenance related to the trailers and surrounding work area to ensure safe, orderly conditions. Work independently to manage assigned tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Communicate effectively with customers, sales staff, contractors, shop personnel, and team members at various branch locations to coordinate work and resolve issues. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bakersfield, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
