Job Description
We are seeking a General Laborer to join our team. Must be willing to work on a construction crew. The Laborer will be responsible for working at various job sites throughout the area and must be willing to work on a crew assisting in construction activities. Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to): Drive Company Crew Truck to and from job sites Loads and unloads materials on trucks up to 100 lbs. Performs all phases of general and underground construction include but are not limited to: loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment Restores and repairs all disturbed property including and not limited to: landscaping, concrete and asphalt Operates and/or works around equipment such as, Jack Hammer, Jumping Jack, Piercing tools, Roto Hammer, Cut-Off Saw, Portable Water Pump, Saws-All, pedestals, cables, plastic conduit, shovel, rake, sledgehammer, pipe wrench, wire cutters, bolt cutters, cable cutters, drilling shafts, etc. Maintains safe working habits/conditions at all times/adhere to company safety policy Performs other duties as assigned Works in and around operated machinery: backhoe, excavator, loader and compaction equipment Frequent stooping, kneeling, Bending, squatting Constant standing, lifting, twisting, walking
Required Skills & Qualifications:
General High school diploma or GED 3 years experience in telecommunications or underground utilities industryDesired Skills & Qualifications:
Must be able and willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes, up to 100 pounds Must be able to maintain visual and audible contact with other people and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement Must be able to operate or workaround heavy equipment and machinery Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl while performing work Must be able to ascend and descend ladders Must be able to work in small/confined areas Must be able to work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, hardhat, and any applicable safety gear/PPE Must be able to successfully pass a Pre-Employment background check and drug screen Must have a validCalifornia Drivers License Employment Status:
