Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of building and renovating structures, assisting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to the successful delivery of diverse construction projects, from commercial renovations to new builds. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to high-quality craftsmanship. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including unloading materials and setting up work areas Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to support various construction tasks Perform heavy lifting of materials such as rebar, concrete forms, and building supplies Support carpenters, masons, and other trades with tasks like framing, drywall installation, and finishing work Aid in concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, and pumping to ensure smooth surfaces and proper curing Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to understand project requirements Assist with installation of rebar, metal stud framing, stucco, tile laying, flooring, and roofing as needed Support demolition, restoration, renovation projects, and site cleanup to maintain a safe working environment Skills Mechanical knowledge for operating tools and equipment efficiently Construction estimating skills for understanding project scope and resource needs Experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, finishing techniques, and concrete pumping Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for precise execution of tasks Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, heavy machinery operation, and scaffolding setup Familiarity with masonry work including stucco application and tile installation Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical endurance Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites including heavy equipment operation and site hazard awareness Experience with carpentry disciplines such as trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing and roofing Knowledge of caulking, plastering, restoration work, drywall installation, flooring installation and welding techniques Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for site transportation needs Join our team if you're ready to build your career in construction!
