A Construction Helper or Worker works at construction sites and projects. Works as a skilled trades worker such as bricklayer, carpenter, painter, electrician or mason, or operates construction equipment.
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Almond Farm Laborer to assist with the day-to-day operations of a commercial almond orchard. This position involves irrigation management, orchard maintenance, harvest support, and general manual labor. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, can perform physically demanding tasks, and is committed to safe and efficient work practices.
Key Responsibilities :
Operate ATVs (quads) to inspect irrigation systems and monitor water distribution throught the orchard. Check for irrigation issues such as leaks, plugged FanJets, broken lines, and uneven water coverage, and report or assist with repairs. Rake almonds out of tire ruts and other areas during harvest to minimize crop loss Pole almonds from trees when needed to remove remaining nuts after mechanical harvesting Perform general orchard maintenance, including manual labor as assigned Assist with harvest preparation and cleanup activities Operate farm equipment safely policies and procedures Work effectively with supervisor and other members to complete daily tasks
Qualifications :
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, walking, and working in varying weather conditions. Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods. Ability to operate or learn to operate ATVs and basic farm equipment. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Previous agricultural or farm experience is preferred.
Work Environment:
Outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including heat, dust, and uneven terrain. Seasonal overtime and weekend work may be required during irrigation and harvest periods. Position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and repetitive physical activity.
