POSITION SUMMARY
As a Laborer at Green Bay Landscaping Co., you will provide physical labor and support operations on a work site. Under direct supervision, you will be expected to safely operate machinery and be responsible for its maintenance and upkeep. You will assist skilled trades as needed and load and unload deliveries to the work site. In addition, you will maintain a safe job site by removing any hazards. Pay is based on experience. Candidates with hands-on experience in pavers, artificial turf, sod, irrigation, or other landscape construction trades are encouraged to apply — your skills will be reflected in your starting pay.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
Clean, lubricate, and put away equipment and tools as assigned; maintain work sites free from debris and dirt Follow directions to operate machinery, supply materials and tools, and load/unload items on machinery and at work sites Operate a wide variety of equipment and tools including shovels, rakes, compactors, and others Assist with paver installation, artificial turf, sod, irrigation, and other landscape construction tasks as assigned Perform general labor tasks as directed by supervisor May be trained to act as equipment operator when the regular operator is unavailable Assist skilled workers as assigned and learn basics of the trade under job instructor guidance Adhere to local, state, federal, and company safety codes and guidelines Report any issues or safety concerns to supervisor promptly Perform other related duties as assigned
KEY COMPETENCIES
Good verbal communication skills; ability to listen and follow directions Ability to work in a variety of roles and alongside a variety of personalities Ability to handle materials and equipment in a responsible and safe manner Works well as part of a team Willingness to learn and take initiative on the job site
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred) Minimum 1 year of landscaping or construction experience (Preferred) Hands-on experience with pavers, artificial turf, sod, irrigation, or similar trades — pay reflects your skill level Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record (Preferred) Experience working with team members across multiple functional roles (Preferred) Spanish and English fluency (Preferred) Job training for this position is provided by department trainer
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing and walking Must be able to lift and move up to 80 lbs regularly Manual dexterity needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment Must be able to work in all weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and conditions associated with construction work sites Work performed with OSHA-required PPE Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential requirements

$23.80 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule:
8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday Candidates with experience in pavers, turf, sod, or irrigation may qualify for higher starting pay
