ENTRY-LEVEL CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN / LABORER

Happy Home RepairSacramento AreaPart-Time | Entry Level | Advancement Opportunity Happy Home Repair is looking for a dependable, motivated person to join our team as a part-time Entry-Level Construction Technician / Laborer. No extensive construction experience is required. We are willing to train the right person. You will work primarily alongside our job-site foreman and assist with residential repair, maintenance and remodeling projects throughout the Sacramento area. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to learn a trade, develop multiple construction skills and potentially grow into a much larger role within the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the foreman with daily job-site tasks Carry, load and unload tools and materials Job-site setup and cleanup Demolition and debris removal Basic construction and repair work Painting and preparation work Basic drywall and carpentry assistance Material pickups and supply runs when needed Keep tools and work areas organized Learn additional repair and remodeling skills on the job Follow instructions and job-site safety procedures

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

You MUST have: A reliable vehicle Valid driver's license Current automobile insurance Reliable transportation to different job sites Working cell phone Ability to perform physical construction/labor work Ability to lift and carry construction materials and tools Dependable attendance Willingness to learn Professional attitude around customers and occupied homes Construction experience is helpful, but not required. We're more interested in someone who shows up on time, works hard, listens, learns quickly and can be counted on.

SCHEDULE

Part-time. Hours may vary depending on current projects and workload. Applicants should have some flexibility for weekday work. Additional hours and responsibilities may become available as the employee develops their skills and demonstrates reliability.

PAY & ROOM FOR ADVANCEMENT

This is an entry-level hourly position. Compensation will comply with applicable California wage requirements and will depend on experience and capabilities. There is significant room for advancement for the right person. Happy Home Repair is interested in developing someone who can take on increasingly greater responsibility as their skills, reliability and ability to work independently grow. A candidate who consistently meets the company's performance, reliability and skill-development requirements over an established period of time may become eligible to be considered for: Increased pay Additional hours Greater job-site responsibility Lead/technician opportunities Performance-based compensation Potential participation in a company profit-sharing program Profit-sharing is not guaranteed as part of the entry-level position.
