Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Labor Compliance Coordinator / Certified Payroll Specialist / Construction Billing professional to join our team. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to labor laws and regulations, managing accurate payroll processing, and overseeing construction billing procedures. Your expertise will help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and labor laws while supporting efficient financial operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced construction environment by combining technical payroll management with compliance oversight, all while fostering transparency and accuracy in financial documentation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Administer time card / payroll processing ensuring timely and accurate payments. Prepare and submit certified payroll reporting to DIR and LCP Tracker as required. Review payroll records for prevailing wage accuracy, proper classifications, fringe benefits, and apprentice requirements. Ensure compliance with employment and labor law regulations by monitoring wage laws, overtime rules, and classification standards across multiple jurisdictions. Prepare and review construction billing documents, including invoices and releases, aligning with individual project & labor requirements. . Manage data entry tasks within Quickbooks, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive employee information. Perform analysis of payroll data for discrepancies or errors; Reconcile and audit accounts regularly to ensure precise financial reporting. Stay current on changes in labor law compliance requirements to update internal procedures accordingly. Experience Proven experience working with payroll management systems such as QuickBooks, or similar platforms. Background in corporate accounting practices with a focus on payroll processing and construction billing procedures. Excellent skills in spreadsheets (Excel), analysis techniques & account reconciliation. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion while maintaining accuracy in data entry and financial reporting. Prior experience in the construction industry or a similar fast-paced environment is preferred but not required.
