Job Description

About Tidal Build Tidal Build is a licensed general contractor based in Mystic, CT, building high-end residential and commercial projects across southeastern Connecticut and coastal Rhode Island. From historic restorations to new custom homes to commercial buildouts, we take pride in clean jobsites, sharp finishes, and a crew that treats every project like it matters — because it does. We're growing, and we're hiring the right person to grow with us. The Role We're looking for a full-time Construction Laborer to support our field team across multiple active projects. This isn't a one-task job — every day looks a little different. You'll work alongside our site lead, experienced carpenters, and a range of skilled subcontractors. If you show up ready, we'll teach you the trade. What You'll Be Doing Keeping jobsites clean, safe, and organized — daily cleanup, dust control, debris management, tool and material organization Running material pickups and deliveries from local suppliers and lumberyards Loading, unloading, and staging materials on site Assisting carpenters and tradespeople with demo, framing, finish work, and general construction tasks Site setup and breakdown — staging, protection, signage, equipment Operating hand and power tools safely and correctly Communicating jobsite needs, progress, and issues to the site lead Pitching in wherever the day takes us — flexibility is part of the job What We're Looking For Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred) — communication is critical Valid driver's license with a clean record — you'll be driving company vehicles for material runs Reliable personal vehicle with roof racks (with compensation) — needed for getting to jobsites and hauling lumber, trim, or long materials when company trucks are committed elsewhere Positive attitude and strong work ethic — we work hard, but the people on our jobsites enjoy being there Willingness to learn — prior construction experience is a plus, but attitude and reliability matter more Comfortable with physical labor: lifting 50+ lbs, working outdoors year-round, climbing ladders, standing/bending throughout the day Reliable, on time, every day Authorized to work in the U.S. What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Steady, year-round work — we don't lay off in the winter Real opportunity to learn the trade and advance — we promote from within and invest in people who show up A professional, respectful work environment — no chaos, no yelling, no nonsense Quality projects you can point to and be proud of Paid time off and holiday pay (after introductory period) Company vehicle use during the workday (after introductory period) How to Apply Apply through Indeed with a short note about your experience and why this role interests you — even a few sentences is plenty. Tidal Build LLC is an equal opportunity employer. We hire on character, capability, and fit.
