Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a motivated Welder Helper to join our metal fabrication team. In this entry-level role, you will assist experienced fabricators and welders with day-to-day shop operations, material preparation, and equipment setup. We are looking for a reliable individual who is eager to learn, takes pride in hands-on work, and wants to build a long-term career in the welding and fabrication industry. some Training is provided, with strong opportunities to advance as your skills grow. Duties Assist welders with material handling, positioning, and securing metal components for welding or fabrication Prepare work areas by cleaning, grinding, and setting up tools and equipment Assist in fabrication tasks Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Measure materials accurately using shop math, measuring instruments. Assist with welding tasks such as Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and stick welding under supervision Requirements Prior construction site experience or metal fabrication background preferred Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately is a plus and higher pay will be considered Familiarity with welding techniques including
SMAW, GMAW/MIG, TIG
welding, FCAW, and plasma cutting a plus Knowledge of mechanical blueprint interpretation and shop math for precise measurements Experience with hand tools, power tools, machining equipment, and measuring tools Ability to follow safety protocols diligently in a fast-paced environment Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn Join our team today to build your expertise in welding support roles while contributing to innovative metal fabrication projects! Pay:
$16.00 - $21.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
